RECREATION GROUND - NEWSLETTER

Over the last year we installed the Path around the perimeter which has been well received and
much used. Fruit Trees have been planted, hedging plants have been donated and planted to fill
in gaps around the field.
We applied for several Grants for the Playground which unfortunately were unsuccessful.
Solicitors have finally completed Registering the Strip of Land donated from the Templehall.
The late Marie France Taylor a well known local resident and a supporter of the Recreation
Ground left a legacy towards the ongoing work of the Field. We have installed A Memorial
Bench in her memory.
Grants & Funding
We received a Grant from Charity Begins at Home towards the Path.
We held a very successful Strawberry Tea craft Fair and received Donations from Local
Residents and also from Overseas.
We have a Just Giving crowdfunding page (if anyone would like to donate details are on the
Morebattle Recreation Facebook Page)
Future Plans
Continue to apply for Grants for the playpark.
Purchase & Erect Goal posts, picnic Benches, Fruit Bushes.
Ongoing Fundraising.
A sugestion for Local Business's advertising boards around the field - if interested please
get in touch.

SUGGESTION OF COMMUNITY GARDEN & POLYTUNNEL
NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP
This is a great opportunity going forward for all the community to come together by growing
your own fruit, veg, flowers, & also plants could be used for village Displays. This project
would benefit the Village for years to come. We plan to hold a meeting shortly to discuss taking
this forward. Please please get in touch.
