The first meeting of this Morebattle Whisky Club was held Nov 2016 in the Templehall, and now that we have our bar back open, it’s definitely time to reconvene! First Friday in the month at 7pm, starting Friday 3rd October 2025. New members will be warmly welcomed. The format of the evening is simple – members take it in turn to bring a secret bottle of whisky, and decant it into the clubs decanter. This is then presented to the table and each attendee is able to enjoy one drink from it. The person bringing the bottle gives some information about the whisky while those around the table try to guess which it is! The second whisky is provided by the pub (also poured without the bottle being seen). The idea is simply for an evening of whisky chat – and after the two bottles are revealed, the evening proceeds with more chat and more opportunities to purchase whisky from the outst...
